SeaWorld Orlando Expedition Odyssey

Expedition Odyssey opens at SeaWorld Orlando

Expedition Odyssey

SeaWorld Orlando has officially unveiled its latest attraction, Expedition Odyssey, offering guests an immersive journey through the Arctic’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife. Opening on May 9, 2025, this state-of-the-art flying theater ride combines cutting-edge technology with real-world footage to create a unique and educational experience.

Located near the Wild Arctic exhibit, Expedition Odyssey invites riders into a multi-level indoor theater, accommodating up to 30 guests per session. The 4-minute-and-30-second adventure simulates soaring over glaciers, diving into icy waters, and encountering Arctic animals like beluga whales and walruses. The ride’s motion-based platform, developed by Mack Rides, enhances the sensation of flight, while 4D effects like wind and water splashes add to the realism.

The experience begins with a preshow that sets the stage for the expedition, followed by the main ride that blends cinematic storytelling with physical sensations. After the ride, guests exit through the Wild Arctic exhibit, providing an opportunity to see some of the animals featured in the attraction up close.

Expedition Odyssey is designed to be family-friendly, with a minimum height requirement of 39 inches (48 inches to ride alone). The indoor setting offers a comfortable environment, making it an ideal escape from Florida’s heat or sudden rain showers.

This new addition to SeaWorld Orlando not only entertains but also educates visitors about the Arctic’s unique ecosystem, aligning with the park’s mission to inspire conservation through immersive experiences.
