Joji (born George Kusunoki Miller on September 18, 1992, in Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese-Australian singer, songwriter, and producer known for his moody, genre-blending sound that mixes R&B, lo-fi, and electronic influences. He first gained widespread attention as a YouTube personality under the aliases Filthy Frank and Pink Guy before stepping away in 2017 to focus on music. Joji rose to global prominence with his debut album Ballads 1 (2018) and follow-up Nectar (2020), both of which reached the top of the Billboard 200, and hit songs like “Slow Dancing in the Dark,” “Sanctuary,” and “Glimpse of Us.” Known for his introspective lyrics and atmospheric production, he has become one of the most distinctive voices in alternative R&B and modern pop.
